  • Forest Management Plans
A plan is the first step to sustainably managing your woods. A stewardship quality plan lets you know what you have, what you need to do to improve it and satisfies one of the requirements to get NRACS cost share funds. All plans are individualized to meet your objectives. Plans typically cover the tree, wildlife, soil and cultural resources of your property.

  • Inventory
An inventory of your woods is the first step to determining what you have and what you need to do. An inventory is also an important step in developing a management plan. The intensity of the inventory is based on the intended use of the inventory data. Some common reasons for inventories are to establish a carbon basis for carbon markets, to develop a forest/woodlot management plan, to establish a basis for a depletion allowance and for urban trees.
